                          CHARITY UPDATE
Here at Partners In Costs we are proud of our platinum sponsorship of the Action Against Medical Accidents Charity. Our curry nights are a fantastic way of supporting the charity whilst networking and enjoying a tasty 3 course meal. In the last 12 months we ventured to places new including Exeter and Leicester – here are some of the comments from the Exeter Curry Night.
The SIA and PIC working together for the spinal cord injury community. Back in 2021 we formed an enterprise partnership with the SIA to offer cost drafting services to SIA’s legal partners and business members and raise money for the charity’s vital work with people affected by spinal cord injury. We are proud to be part of SIA’s national network of support.
By using PIC for your cost drafting services (including overflow work) you’ll be supporting SIA and making a valuable contribution to the spinal cord injury community. Get in touch with Adrian Hawley and he’ll be able to tell you more about how you can support this partnership.
The Charitable Foundation was founded by Frenkel Topping in 2015 and is a saving grace for individuals and their families who have experienced a life-changing injury but were unable
to secure fifinancial support following the incident. Our Adrian Hawley is a proud ambassador of the charity and is
d looking forward to a night of Hollywood
Glamour – A night at the Oscars – at the fundraising charitable ball to take place on Thursday 5th October at the Midland Hotel in Manchester.
For more information you can call the foundation on 0161 886 8000 or email events@frenkeltopping.co.uk.
As well as supporting the charity at the ball we also set up our costs roadshow in September and October with Professor Dominic Regan from the Frenkel Topping Knowledge Hub presenting on the new Fixed Recoverable Costs regime – all ticket sales across six cities are supporting the charitable foundation. For details please contact Emma Woolley.
28 INDUSTRY EXPERTS
Our Engagement and Development Team have had a busy summer supporting the fundraising work of
the CBIT charity. From the Manchester and London treasure hunts to the CBIT Games in Birmingham.
In London our hunt guru Adrian Hawley mapped our the streets around Gray’s Inn and the hunt took on a Strike it Lucky theme and raised £1.104.90. A month later we moved up the country for the first Manchester treasure hunt with a Roman theme! A considerable number of the 14 teams took up the roman fancy dress with great vigour and we raised £3,052.52 for CBIT.
Delighted to have
an event such as this
in Devon - we are event- hungry for certain! Fantastic evening, company, venue, food and networking. Thank you!
A fun evening - thanks for making the effort to come down to Exeter.
If you would like advance notification of the CBIT treasure hunts for 2024 please contact Emma Woolley to register your interest.
Turning to the CBIT games – while we didn’t win the team had a fantastic time getting involved with the events in the pouring rain – which didn’t dampen our spirits. A fantastically well organised event. Highly recommended for team building and supporting CBIT at the same time!!
